    Default Sony Stereo Install

In 2010 ish i was studying at Southbank Institute of Technology to get my Diploma of Media and Screen [Visual Effects] and while there i had an opportunity to work for a TV Station for a couple of weeks [paid] and i took that opportunity to deck out the Magna with a kicking stereo

I got the stuff from Supercheap Auto while a lot of it was on special and then went at it alone to come up with this...

The factory stereo was just an AM/FM radio with two 4" speakers under the dash grill up the front, that is fine for the average Joe but i want clarity in my car and the speakers were giving off low level static at all times sooo UPGRADE!

Started out with replacing the front speakers with some 4" Sony's which when installed push down on the air vent passageway which prevents the vent from being fully closed... meh

After getting them out and on closer inspection as you could expect with age they had majorly deteriorated... here are some pics for ya
    PS ALL NEW WIRING!

Some side by side action for you, your welcome, i know how awesome it is to see a before and after especially side by side

Needed to cut two of the fins off so it would go in to the spot, Sony thought of that as well which made it easy for me..

Important to note that to get the front dash demister tray thing out you need to first take out the glovebox and directly above it is a Wingnut that is keeping it from leaving the dash, besides that there are a few clips but you just push/pull it straight up and it will come out. Also if you like your A Pillars i suggest you take them off first or you will scratch them as the dash tray thing is metal and sharp as a knife... also try not to bend it too much.
